Match traffic fines after the customer has left
Updated July 2026
Many UAE fines arrive days after the vehicle returns. Matching works when you keep plate history and agreement time windows: link each fine to the vehicle, the agreement active at the offence time, and the customer who should pay — not only to whoever holds the car today.
The after-return problem
Authorities publish fines on their schedule. By then the next driver may already be on the same plate. Without history, teams guess — or absorb the cost.
Good matching is operational hygiene: register, agreements, plate timeline, and a repeatable alert path.
What “matched” should mean
A matched fine has three anchors: vehicle (plate), time (offence within an agreement window), and customer (the party responsible under your commercial terms).
Black points and impound cases need the same anchors when sources provide them — they are not a separate spreadsheet if you want one recovery workflow.
How the Fines module helps
The optional Fines module checks active fleet vehicles in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on a platform-controlled schedule, then proposes matches using plate, time, and agreement history.
Operators see dashboard alerts; WhatsApp or email is optional. Preview can show a real fine count and up to three fines read-only before you pay.
Any commercial fleet — not only rent-a-car
Rental feels the pain first, but leasing, trading, and company pools hit the same issue whenever a vehicle leaves under someone else’s responsibility.
This is a UAE module today. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Oman are on the roadmap without copying Dubai/Abu Dhabi fine sources.
